Sculptures

Objective

In this game, the children are creative and form a variety of sculptures. The game also challenges social skills, as they must cooperate and agree on what the sculptures will look like.

Instructions

  1. Create groups with four or five children. Several groups can join in at the same time.
  2. The children use their creativity to form a variety of sculptures. All the children must be involved in the sculpture, and each child must be ‘attached’ to at least one other child. Make sure that all the children put forward ideas and listen when they plan the sculpture.

Tips

  • This activity is well-suited after or between more intensive games to promote calmness.

Variation

  • One variation might be to tell the children what the sculpture should look like as well, but that they shall decide how they will design what they are told to do. For instance. it could be a specific object or something optional within a category or topic. Preferably, link the sculptures to a topic you are working on, e.g. winter.
