Snake Chase

Objective

In this activity, the children must run at a high-intensity pace to capture a snake. At the same time, the game challenges eye-hand coordination.

Instructions

  1. Mark out the boundaries of the area where the children can play.
  2. One or two of the children hold a rope, and are the snake tamers.
  3. The snake tamer(s) wriggle the rope around on the floor/ground.
  4. The other children try to ‘capture’ the snake (the rope is guided along the floor not elevated into the air).
