Clean the Area

Objective

In Clean the Area, the children shall play at a high-intensity level and throw balls from one area to another as soon as possible.

Instructions

  1. Mark out an area for the game.
  2. Divide the area into two and distribute many balls between them.
  3. Upon a signal, the children try to tidy up their area by throwing the balls over to the other area.
  4. After a short period, stop the game and see which area is the most tidy.

Tips

  • When you have stopped the game, the children can be given the task of collecting all the balls in their area and counting them with an adult. This makes it easier to start a new round with an equal number of balls in each area.

Variation

  • You can change the type of movement in the game by letting the children kick the ball instead of throwing. It might then be easier to use a line or skipping rope to separate the areas.
