Story Memory

Objective

This game challenges the children’s memory in that they shall remember pictures and connect the pictures to stories they know. During the game, the children also find two pictures that are different, but belong to the same story.

Instructions

  1. One picture from each story is laid randomly on the ground in a large area (or hung randomly around the outdoor play area or in a forest).
  2. The adult shows the other picture and the children run to find the picture that belongs to the same story.
  3. The children take the picture back to the adult to see if they match.

Variation

  • The game can be organised differently either by all the children searching for the same picture or each pair/each child searching for their picture.
